Dr. Andrea Pitts Awarded Fellowship

The Philosophy Department congratulates Dr. Andrea Pitts for their receipt of a Woodrow Wilson Career Enhancement Fellowship. This fellowship is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and is administered by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. This award aims to support scholarly research in the humanities by assisting junior faculty with their research projects. Dr. Pitts’ recent book, which is the focus of their research project under the Woodrow Wilson fellowship, is centered on how linguistic communication shapes and is shaped by race.
