Spring 2018 MAP Film Series

Dr. Andrea Pitts is a professor of Philosophy, Latin American Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies at UNC Charlotte. They will be presenting and leading a discussion on Holy Motors, a 2012 French-German fantasy film that follows a few hours in the life of Monsieur Oscar, a shadowy figure who travels from one life to the next. The screening will take place on Thursday, March 29th at 5:00pm in Winningham Lounge.
Dr. Elisabeth Paquette is a professor of Philosophy, Women’s and Gender Studies, Africana Studies, and the Center for Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights studies at UNC Charlotte. She will be presenting and leading a discussion on Rhymes for Young Ghouls, a 2014 film about a teenage aboriginal who is forcibly sent to an Indian Residential School and seeks revenge on a sadistic administrator. The discussion will take place on Thursday, April 12th at 5:00 pm in Winningham 107.
